WHAT
DOES NPIP CERTIFIED MEAN?
We get asked alot what it means to be a NPIP
(National Poultry Improvement Plan)
Certified
hatchery and why people should only buy chickens from a certified hatchery.
The State of Tennessee test our birds every year for Pullorum, Fowl Typhoid,
Avian Mycoplasmas, Salmonella and Avian Influenza. Some of the above
can be transmitted through eggs, so to protect your flocks health and most
importantly your families health you should only buy your poultry from
a NPIP certified hatchery.
